Residual heat indicator
Theresidualheatindicatorwith1indicatorlampisloca-
ted between the two front cooking zones. The lamp
comes on in case the temperatureof switched oncoo-
kingzoneswillreachmorethan(abt.) 60
o
C. Alsoafter
switch--off thelampwillremainonuntilcoolingdownof
the corresponding cooking zone.
Pots and pans
Donotputpotsonthecookingsurfaceunlesstheirbot-
toms arecleananddry. Avoidheatingupof emptyves-
sels.
Do always cook with the potlid closed.
Pots and pansbottoms might haveburrsor edgesthat
scratch and scour the ceramic surface, when the ves-
sels are moved around.
Thisisaswellguiltyforpotsandpansmadeof castiron
andfor enamelware vessels that have an electro--gra-
phitized bottom.
Scratches may also appear, if e.g. grains of sand (left
from the preceding cleaning of vegetable) get on the
cooking surface, when the pot is moved around on it.
Dishes with aluminium andcopper bottoms may leave
metallic discolouration on the ceramic glass surface
which is only hard to remove or even not at all.

D exclusivelymakeuseofsuitableboilingandroasting
vessels with smooth and even bottom.
D on principle put on pots and pans before the
switch--on of the cooking zone.
D put on pots and pans always with the lid on.
D switchoffthecookingzonesomeminutesbeforethe
endof cookingtime inorder tomake useof theresi-
dual heat.
D make use of the residual heat of the cooking zones
for warm--keeping.
Potsandpansmustnotbesmallerthanthecookingzo-
neitself.Theyshouldnotexceedthecookingzonedia-
meter by more than 2-4 cm either.
Only use vessels that have a smooth bottom.
After use make sure that the appliance is swit-
ched off. All rotary knobs must be set to the
OFF-position.
